Privacy Policy
What Kyura stores, which processors help run the service, how long we keep data, and how to export or delete your account.

Who we are
Kyura operates Kyura (https://kyura.app), based in Brisbane, QLD, Australia. Contact [email protected] for privacy questions, export requests, or complaints.
What we collect
Account email and name, recipe content you save, optional dietary preferences, shopping and budget data you enter, device or session tokens if you enable notifications, and images you upload for AI extraction. Support messages you send via our forms or email are also stored so we can reply.
AI processing (Anthropic)
Recipe screenshots and related text may be sent to Anthropic (or another configured AI provider) to extract titles, ingredients, methods, and times. Do not upload images you are not allowed to process. You can avoid optional AI capture by staying on the free manual tier.
Hosting and infrastructure (Azure)
Application servers, databases, and related infrastructure run on Microsoft Azure. Data is processed in regions we configure for the product (primarily Australia where available). Azure operators process data only to host and secure the service under our instructions.
Email (SendGrid)
Transactional and support-related email is sent through SendGrid (Twilio). That includes lead and support notifications from this website, and account or product emails where configured. Message metadata needed to deliver mail is processed by the email provider.
Analytics
We use first-party site analytics (page views, scroll, and click events attributed to the kyura site slug) to understand how the marketing site is used. We do not sell personal data. Analytics events are stored so we can improve the product and marketing pages.
Subscriptions and payments
On the web, Premium may be billed through Stripe. When iOS and Android apps are published, store billing through Apple or Google (and receipt validation via RevenueCat where configured) will also be available. We do not store full card numbers. Payment providers process payment data under their own policies and our contracts with them.
Retention
Account and recipe data is kept while your account is active. After a verified deletion request we aim to remove or anonymise personal account data within 30 days, except where Australian law, tax rules, fraud prevention, or payment providers require limited records (for example transaction history) for longer.
Deletion and your rights
You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or via the public Delete account page at https://kyura.app/delete-account, which includes a web form and email path. You may also request a copy of your data by emailing [email protected]. We confirm when a verified deletion is complete.
Children
Kyura is aimed at adults managing a household kitchen. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. Contact us if you believe a child has created an account so we can delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The version published on this page is the current one. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised date when practical.
